Does Botox really work?
The injected muscle can no longer contract which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften while also helping to prevent new ones from forming. Botox stays only where injected and does not roam through the body.
Botox has shown to:
Treat and improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet in adults.
Improving the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).
Improves the look of moderate to severe crow’s feet lines.
What are fillers? How can they work in sync with Botox?
Many clients ask what the differences are between Botox and Juvéderm which is considered a filler. Juvéderm is perfect for wrinkles that are present when your face is at rest, whereas Botox is perfect for wrinkles that appear on movements. While Botox works well for forehead furrows, crow’s feet, laugh lines around the mouth, and frown lines, Juvéderm is a filler that can add volume to the tissue’s depleted areas. Botox can assist in the prevention of activity within a muscle that causes wrinkles. When used in combination with Juvéderm, a stimulation of collagen growth will begin and help to lift the skin as it replaces collagen loss.
